It was explained to me thoroughly what was wrong on both occasions and what it would cost to repair the problem. I have nothing but compliments for this place. I read about this place from the reviews. My girlfriend was having car troubles she wanted to take care of ASAP. They made her feel at ease. They looked into everything she requested and then some. When they were finished with her car they were honest with her about the vehicle, they recommended against doing any replacements prematurely. They got her car running great and it was affordable. What I appreciated most was how they didn't try to inflate prices, they didn't treat her as if she was unaware. I have seen MANY auto shops treat my SO as if they had no idea what was going on and feed misinformation. I brought my car in about two weeks later to get it serviced before a big road trip. I got the same experience, honesty. They ran through everything I had issues with, resolved them, even took the cost of the loaner vehicle off without me even saying anything. I am kinda shocked because I never expect that kinda of service from Auto Shops. So praise where praise is due. I will recommend this place to anyone that asks.

We have been taking our vehicles to Steve for over 30 years. His shop is the best independently owned repair shops in the south metro if not the Metro area. You will find him and his crew to be top notch and easy to work with. They are very fair with the repairs and will always work with you to make sure you are comfortable getting your car fixed - even though it is usually not the first thing folks want to be doing. He has nice loners to use if you repairs require it. His shop is not open on Saturday's but are open early in the morning and later in the evening. I highly recommend Southcross Auto for all your vehicle repairs or if you require an inspection on a vehicle your are thinking of buying.

Being fairly new to the area and having a couple negative experiences with other local auto repair shops, I called Southcross Auto after reading other reviews. My brakes were going out. Tim answered and was very nice. He told me to bring it right in. I waited a short time in their comfortable commons area while they diagnosed my problem. They explained exactly what needed to be done and told me the cost. I received a courtesy vehicle while mine was being repaired. Within a few hours they called and let me know my car was ready. I had an unusual ask, and a mechanic named Matt (or was it Tim?) went out of his way to help me loosen (and re-tighten) my rear lug nuts when my electric impact wrench couldn't loosen them. He grabbed a tool, and met me outside (in the cold) to help me. The lug nuts were no match for this guys strength. I asked how much it would be for the labor, be he did it pro bono and didn't even take a tip when I offered. I wanted to give back in some way, so I thought this review would be a good way to do that. Thanks very much!

Had my car towed there by AAA after it quit on the road. They were helpful, courteous and did not charge anything after they immediately saw up on the rack the drain plug had worked loose. Under warranty & car had to be towed back to the KIA dealer who changed the oil. Super helpful & experienced at this repair place! Who doesn't charge these days???

The most daunting part about auto repair is finding a place you can be confident you can trust. I have been going to Southcross for several years. They have never tried to up sell me anything. Last year I took my vehicle in for new brakes they actually called me and told me that only the front brakes needed replacing.
