Being fairly new to the area and having a couple negative experiences with other local auto repair shops, I called Southcross Auto after reading other reviews. My brakes were going out. Tim answered and was very nice. He told me to bring it right in. I waited a short time in their comfortable commons area while they diagnosed my problem. They explained exactly what needed to be done and told me the cost. I received a courtesy vehicle while mine was being repaired. Within a few hours they called and let me know my car was ready. I felt very comfortable and well informed. I found my new auto shop. Thanks, Southcross and staff! I'll be back.

I recently took my 2005 Sequoia in for a leak near the front of the vehicle. Southcross diagnosed the problem and fixed the problem within a few hours. They seem like a very competent and honest place to take a vehicle for service. I would recommend them to others.

Steve and his staff are excellent, very upfront with what is wrong and what the estimate cost will be. Estimate is right on. I went there three years ago after a dealership said I needed a brake job and he called me up within a half hour and said there was no need at that time for this servicing. Fantastic service, very friendly people, they really do take care of people. They really do understand how stressful it can be to have a vehicle in disrepair and be without transportation, they've made every effort to make the entire process as painless as possible, including providing a courtesy vehicle. They're affordable prices make them a great choice, but the peace of mind knowing that you have this fantastic group of people in your corner makes them invaluable in times of need. I couldn't recommend these guys highly enough!

I am another in the list of long time customers (15+ years). Their longevity and repeat customer base speaks for itself. Auto repair is not cheap and I have always done my research when doing a repair, but I have found Southcross to be trustworthy and reasonable. Furthermore, they have always completed repairs within a day, two at the most.

I had an unusual ask, and a mechanic named Matt (or was it Tim?) went out of his way to help me loosen (and re-tighten) my rear lug nuts when my electric impact wrench couldn't loosen them. He grabbed a tool, and met me outside (in the cold) to help me. The lug nuts were no match for this guys strength. I asked how much it would be for the labor, be he did it pro bono and didn't even take a tip when I offered. I wanted to give back in some way, so I thought this review would be a good way to do that. Thanks very much!

Steve and Tim are great! I had concerns about the suspension on my trucks and I needed some fluid changes as well. Steve and Tim listened to my concerns, called me with their findings and suggestions. I felt like they were there to serve me, the customer vs a dealership, or chain, where it seems they only want to make a buck. I will take any future vehicle maintenance or concerns to this shop.

I've been going there for about 10 years, and appreciate both the advice and service I've received. They have even sent to away because THEY found GM had extended a warranty on a part and a dealership would fix it for free. When the car needs a repair, I often get options, and I've never felt pressured to fix anything.

I have brought all my cars here. They are always priced great, take great care of my cars, and there were never hidden fees. This is one of the few mechanical shops that, as a woman, I didn’t feel taken advantage of or talked down to. They are a great group of hard working, polite mechanics. They even wash your car now!!!! We've been getting our family's cars repaired at Southcross for about 15 years. They have earned our trust and have ALWAYS treated us extremely well. Steve and Tim ALWAYS give us the honest scoop. If multiple repairs are needed and we don't have the cash to do everything at once, they help us prioritize the repairs (what is a must have and what can wait). Had my car towed there by AAA after it quit on the road. They were helpful, courteous and did not charge anything after they immediately saw up on the rack the drain plug had worked loose. Under warranty & car had to be towed back to the KIA dealer who changed the oil. Super helpful & experienced at this repair place! Who doesn't charge these days???

The most daunting part about auto repair is finding a place you can be confident you can trust. I have been going to Southcross for several years. They have never tried to up sell me anything. Last year I took my vehicle in for new brakes they actually called me and told me that only the front brakes needed replacing. When was the last time your mechanic told you you didn't need as much work done as you thought? I trust Southcross, and you can too.

Update: This is now officially the only auto repair shop I'll go to. If you're looking for a good, trustworthy mechanic in the area go here.I stripped the bolt head on my oil pan plug trying to change my own oil. These guys swapped it out for my new bolt during my lunch break. They gave me good advice, reasonable price, and friendly customer service.

I have been a customer at Southcross for over 20 years and Steve and his crew have always been up front and honest about what they recommend for what to do with your car. I can always count on them to 'fix the real problem' every time. I have had repair work done at other shops and also at dealers, and I always get pressured to 'do more' than what I came in for. I always feel I can ask questions about what is being done and I will receive a detailed explanation. Steve the owner is all about customer service. This is the only shop that I had been to that made me feel comfortable leaving my car there. SERIOUSLY! The shop is clean and neat. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They have loaner car's or will pick or drop you off at home or work. And the loaner is cheap or free if the bill gets up there! Southcross Auto Service has now become my shop.

I went to Southcross because my transmission started acting up. I only had the car for a few months. Luckly it was under warranty. And they handled the whole thing, they also fixed it in a timely manner as well. I recommend them for any service you need on your cars.
